A tapestry of Hope

The story of Joseph (Genesis 31-50)

You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, saving many lives. (Genesis 50:20)

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called accordingly to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

For God to complete the tapestry of hope, allow God to use:

  1. The colour of time
    • Wait patiently for fulfilment. God has a plan for you but you have no idea what is it.
    • Serve faithfully in current setting.
  2. The colour of training
    • Training develops character
    • Training develops competence
  3. The colour of treasured relationships
    • Choose to forgive
      • And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you. (Genesis 45:5)
    •  Choose to serve
    • 2 roles in church
      • Consumer- by nature, we are consumers
      • Contributor- by choice, we can be contributors

So, what are you?
